Laws of Aetherra
These laws govern in-character behavior within the realm.
Violations result in roleplay consequences, such as:
- Fines
- Imprisonment
- Exile
- Titles revoked
- Other punishments determined by the Crown
👑 1. Authority of the Crown
The Royal Council is the highest authority in Aetherra.
They oversee:
- Laws and rulings
- Kingdom disputes
- Major decisions
Their word is final in matters of the realm.
⚔️ 2. Crimes Against the Crown
The following are considered serious offenses:
- Attacking a Queen or Royal
- Interfering with Royal duties
- Open rebellion against the Crown
Punishment is determined by the Royal Council.
🏠 3. Property & Personal Domain
- A citizen’s home, shop, or land is considered their domain
- Entering without permission may be treated as trespassing
- Repeated violations may result in punishment
⚖️ 4. Conflict Between Citizens
- Disputes should be resolved peacefully
- PvP requires consent from all involved
- Escalated conflicts may be brought before the Council
🌍 5. Travel Between Kingdoms
- Kingdoms may set their own border rules
- Visitors must respect local laws and expectations
🏗️ 6. Building & Land Use
- Building within a kingdom must follow its structure and leadership
- Construction in another kingdom requires a permit from the kingdom’s Queen
⚙️ 7. Restricted & Contraband Items
To preserve balance within the realm:
The following are restricted or illegal items:
- Elytra
- Netherite Armor
- Beacons
- Maces
Enforcement
- Discovered possession, use, or trade of these items may result in:
- confiscation
- fines
- imprisonment
- other punishments determined by the Council
- Queen Nelly favors torture
🧾 8. House Deeds
- Deeds represent ownership of land or property
- They serve as a written record within the realm and can only be written by a Royal
- Deeds may be:
- granted
- traded
- gifted
Note
Deeds are primarily a roleplay feature, not a technical protection system.
🛡️ 9. Protection of Villagers
- Villagers within kingdom realms are considered protected citizens
- They may not be enslaved or confined
- Violations may result in fines or other punishment
Note
If a villager is healed, rescued, or discovered, they must either:
- Be entrusted to the care of the Verdant Circle and released into Villager Cove
- Be safely released into a village within the Mining World
🎭 10. Titles & Royal Conduct
- Titles must be earned, not requested
- Royals are expected to act with fairness and integrity
- Abuse of power may result in removal of title
