Purpose of These Roles
The positions of Noble and Lady-in-Waiting exist to support the Queens, assist the Royal Council, and help maintain a welcoming and organized realm for all citizens of Aetherra.
These roles represent individuals who have demonstrated dedication, maturity, and a willingness to help the community thrive.
They also serve as an opportunity for trusted citizens to develop leadership experience within the realm.
Nobles of the Realm
Nobles are respected citizens who have earned the trust of their kingdom and its rulers. They assist with maintaining order within the community and help guide citizens through the systems and lore of Aetherra.
While Nobles hold no supreme authority over the realm, they act as trusted stewards of their kingdoms.
Responsibilities
Nobles may assist with:
• Helping new players understand server systems and rules
• Guiding roleplay interactions within their kingdom
• Monitoring community spaces for issues or conflicts
• Supporting events and activities organized by the council or queens
• Providing feedback or suggestions to the Royal Council
Nobles serve as role models within the community and are expected to uphold the spirit of the server.
Ladies-in-Waiting
Ladies-in-Waiting serve as trusted attendants to the Queens and assist in maintaining the organization and communication within their kingdoms.
They help support the daily functioning of the realm and ensure that both players and rulers remain connected.
Responsibilities
Ladies-in-Waiting may assist with:
• Helping organize events, ceremonies, and announcements
• Assisting with player questions or concerns
• Helping maintain order in community spaces
• Supporting the Queens and Council with administrative tasks when needed
• Relaying information between citizens and the leadership
This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a cooperative spirit.
Expectations for Both Roles
Both Nobles and Ladies-in-Waiting are expected to:
• Demonstrate respectful and fair behavior toward all players
• Help maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Support the leadership of the realm when needed
• Communicate calmly and constructively during disagreements or conflicts

Activity Expectations for Nobles & Ladies-in-Waiting
Because Nobles and Ladies-in-Waiting help support the leadership and community of Aetherra, they are expected to remain reasonably active within the server.
This does not require constant presence, but individuals holding these roles should remain engaged with the community and its activities when possible.
Standard Activity
Nobles and Ladies-in-Waiting are expected to:
• Remain active within the community
• Participate in discussions when they are able
• Continue supporting players and kingdom activities
These roles represent trusted members of the community and should reflect continued involvement within the realm.
Inactivity Without Notice
If a Noble or Lady-in-Waiting becomes inactive for 4 weeks without notice, their role may be reevaluated by the Royal Council.
This ensures leadership positions remain active and available to those participating in the community.
Leave of Absence (With Notice)
Real-life responsibilities such as school, work, or personal obligations are understood and respected.
If a Noble or Lady-in-Waiting informs the leadership that they will be inactive for a period of time, they may be placed on a Leave of Absence.
During this time:
• Their role may be temporarily paused
• Leadership responsibilities may be handled by other members
• They are welcome to return when their availability improves
If the absence becomes extended, the role may be reassigned temporarily, but the individual is welcome to return to leadership in the future once they are active again.
