How These Roles Are Earned
Becoming a Lady-in-Waiting
Ladies-in-Waiting are personally selected by the Queen of their kingdom.
A Queen may choose a Lady-in-Waiting from among citizens who have demonstrated:
• Loyalty to their kingdom
• Trustworthiness and maturity
• Strong communication and organizational ability
• A willingness to assist with community needs
Because this role involves working closely with the Queen, the final decision rests with the Queen herself.
Becoming a Noble
The title of Noble is awarded to citizens who have demonstrated dedication to the community and the well-being of the realm.
The process for becoming a Noble is as follows:
A citizen may be nominated by a Royal or by fellow citizens.
The nomination is reviewed by the Royal Council.
The council will consider the nominee’s contributions, behavior, and involvement within the community.
If approved by the council, the title of Noble will be granted.
This process ensures that Nobles are recognized as individuals who have earned the respect and trust of the realm.
Expectations for Both Roles
Both Nobles and Ladies-in-Waiting are expected to:
• Demonstrate respectful and fair behavior toward all players
• Help maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Support the leadership of the realm when needed
• Communicate calmly and constructively during disagreements or conflicts
These roles represent trusted members of the community, and their actions should reflect that trust.
Pathway to Greater Leadership
These roles may be used to demonstrate leadership, cooperation, and commitment to the community.
Serving in one of these positions can provide valuable experience for those who may one day wish to take on greater responsibility within the leadership of Aetherra.
However, holding these roles does not guarantee promotion, and council membership still requires approval through the established council selection process.

The council will review the candidate’s contributions and involvement within the server.
The council will discuss the candidate collectively before any vote takes place.
Council Voting Requirement
To maintain stability and trust within the leadership team, all new Royal Council members must receive unanimous approval from the current council.
This ensures that:
- Council members can work effectively together
- Leadership decisions remain collaborative
- New members join with the full confidence of the existing council
- If unanimous approval is not reached, the candidate may continue contributing and may be reconsidered in the future.
Returning Council Members
Former council members who return to the server will follow the same pathway as any other candidate.
While previous contributions are recognized and appreciated, leadership roles are based on current involvement and the needs of the server at the time of consideration.
Final Note

Becoming a council member is not simply a title, but a responsibility to help protect the integrity of the world and support the players who bring it to life.
