Kingdom Treasury

Overview

Kingdom Treasury is Aetherra’s kingdom economy system. It handles citizenship, taxes, wages, treasury payments, donations, and kingdom currency exchange.

Most citizen actions are handled through NPCs or kingdom bank chests.

Joining a Kingdom

To officially become a citizen, right-click your kingdom’s Registrar NPC.

When you register, your citizen record is created with:

• Your kingdom
• Your join date
• Your property count
• Your shop count
• Your tax record

Citizens can only register themselves if they are not already assigned to a kingdom. If you need to move kingdoms, speak with kingdom leadership or staff.

Viewing Your Tax Record

To view your personal tax record, right-click your kingdom’s Tax Clerk NPC.

Your tax record may show:

• Your kingdom
• Properties owned
• Shops owned
• Property tax owed
• Shop tax owed
• Tax credit
• Donation total
• Pending wages
• Grace period status
• Active bounty status, if applicable

Property and Shop Records

If you gain a new property, right-click the Property Clerk NPC.

If you gain a new shop, right-click the Shop Clerk NPC.

These NPCs increase your record by one.

Citizens can only increase their own property or shop count. If your record needs to be lowered or corrected, contact kingdom leadership.

Paying Taxes

Taxes are paid through kingdom tax chests.

Property Tax

Deposit diamonds or diamond blocks into the Property Tax Chest.

Property tax is based on how many properties you own.

Shop Tax

Deposit diamonds or diamond blocks into the Shop Tax Chest.

Shop tax is based on how many shops you own.

Emeralds are not accepted for tax payments.

Tax Credit

If you pay more than you currently owe, the extra amount becomes tax credit.

Tax credit can cover future tax weeks.

Example:

You owe 5 diamonds.
You deposit 15 diamonds.
5 diamonds pay the current debt.
10 diamonds become credit for future taxes.

Property tax and shop tax credits are tracked separately.

Donations

Donation chests accept:

• Diamonds
• Diamond blocks
• Emeralds
• Emerald blocks

Donations are recorded separately from taxes.

Diamond donations may appear in your donation record. Emerald donations are stored in the kingdom’s emerald balance, but they are not counted as diamond tax payments.

Wages and Payments

Citizens may receive wages or royal payments through the Banker NPC.

Right-click the Banker NPC to collect:

• Job wages
• Royal payments
• Project payments
• Event payments

Payments are currently paid in diamonds.

If auto-withholding is enabled and you owe taxes, some of your pending wages may be used to pay tax debt before the rest is paid out.

Jobs

Kingdom leadership can assign citizens one or more jobs.

Examples may include:

• Builder
• Banker
• Lore Keeper
• Bounty Hunter
• Royal Messenger

Each kingdom controls its own job pay. The same job may pay differently in different kingdoms.

Currency Exchange

Each kingdom may have an Exchange NPC.

The Exchange NPC lets citizens exchange:

• Diamonds → Emeralds
• Emeralds → Diamonds

Each kingdom has its own exchange rate.

Example:

Firefly Cove: 1 diamond = 2 emeralds
Lilac Tower: 1 diamond = 3 emeralds

The exchange is backed by the kingdom treasury. That means the exchange can only complete if the treasury has enough of the currency being paid out.

Example:

You want to exchange diamonds for emeralds.
The treasury must have enough emeralds available.

If the treasury does not have enough currency, the exchange will fail and you will keep your items.

Exchange Rules

The Exchange NPC does not create currency from nothing.

When you exchange diamonds for emeralds:

• You give diamonds
• The treasury gains diamonds
• The treasury pays emeralds
• You receive emeralds

When you exchange emeralds for diamonds:

• You give emeralds
• The treasury gains emeralds
• The treasury pays diamonds
• You receive diamonds

Emerald-to-diamond exchanges must divide evenly by the kingdom’s exchange rate.

Example:

If the rate is 1 diamond = 2 emeralds:
2, 4, 6, and 18 emeralds can be exchanged.
1, 3, or 5 emeralds cannot.

Norivia Citizen Adaptation

Norivia citizens receive permanent Night Vision as part of their kingdom adaptation.

When you register as a Norivia citizen:

• Night Vision is granted automatically
• No potion particles are shown
• The effect is refreshed automatically if lost

This adaptation is only for registered Norivia citizens.
