AetherDoors Admin Quick Guide
This guide is for Royals, admins, and staff helping players with AetherDoors.
Main Admin Commands
/ad admin
Shows admin command help.
/ad admin info
Look at a claimed door and run this to see owner, UUID, location, lock status, trust count, and linked controls.
/ad admin remove
Force-removes the claim from the door you are looking at.
/ad admin unlock
Force-unlocks the claimed door you are looking at.
/ad admin list <player>
Lists all claimed doors owned by a player.
Bypass Mode
Admins do not silently bypass locked doors by default.
To intentionally bypass AetherDoors protection, run:
/ad bypass
Bypass mode lasts for 5 minutes by default.
While bypass is active, staff can open protected doors and break protected AetherDoors blocks.
Run /ad bypass again to turn it off early.
Use bypass mode carefully. For normal cleanup, prefer:
/ad admin remove
instead of breaking a claimed door directly.
Recommended Admin Workflow
If a player needs help with a claimed door:
- Look at the door.
- Run
/ad admin info. - Confirm owner and location.
- Use
/ad admin unlockif the issue is access-related. - Use
/ad admin removeonly if the claim needs to be deleted.
Ghost Claims / Missing Blocks
AetherDoors auto-unlinks missing linked controls like buttons, plaques, bells, and button doorbells on startup if cleanup is enabled.
Missing claimed doors are warned about in console but are not automatically deleted. This is intentional to avoid deleting claims from temporarily unloaded worlds.
If a claimed door is truly gone, replace the door at the same location or use:
/ad admin remove
Permissions
Regular players usually need:
aetherdoors.useaetherdoors.claimaetherdoors.lockaetherdoors.trustaetherdoors.linkaetherdoors.knockaetherdoors.ledgeraetherdoors.notices
Staff permissions:
aetherdoors.adminaetherdoors.reloadaetherdoors.bypass
Safety Notes
AetherDoors protects claimed doors and linked controls from:
- Player breaking
- Redstone bypasses
- Explosions
- Fire
- Pistons
If another plugin appears to interfere with doors, test in a controlled area first and check console warnings.
